FAQ

You can use our bin locator to keep a track of new bins placed and to find the Plasticcycle bins that are nearest to you. – Bin Locator

We have partnered with the Sri Lanka Recyclers Association who ensure that persons registered with them collect the plastic waste from our bins. This could be either a plastic recycler or a collector, who in turn sells the plastics to a recycler. The products manufactured would range from brushes, pots and yarn depending on the types of plastic waste collected.

We accept all recyclable plastic waste. You can refer which items are categorized recyclable and non-recyclable through Plasticcycle here.
We are unable to accept plastic waste that may contain other materials: e.g. plastic toys that may contain components such as metal and rubber requiring separation prior to recycling.

Please send in your request via email to [email protected] with the proposed location address, indicating if it’s public or private location and the type of location (housing scheme, office complex, factory, etc.), the amount of plastic collected per week and number of residents or employees estimated to deposit plastics waste to the bin.

Plasticcycle does not purchase plastic waste, however we provide avenues for responsible disposal of recyclable plastic waste.

Unfortunately, we do not accept any other items other than recyclable plastic waste.
